Opportunities to Serve after Irma and Worthy Mentions
Thought of my pop (he went to be with Jesus on 11/19/2010) this morning upon reading my local meteorologist’s (Denis Phillips, love him) recent post updating us on Hurricane Jose, Jose is bye bye…Yes way Jose! Thank you again God. My pop Jose is one of the persons I rode out Hurricane Andrew with in the city I grew up in, Hialeah. I miss my pop. Lord, give him a hug for me and tell him we’re doing well.

Way to go Maddux!
One of my favorite Tampa Bay area attorneys, Michael Maddux got right to work. Yesterday he headed out to help a single mom whose roof was lifted off and suffered water intrusion out in Cocoa Beach. They have no power and are water limited. God bless you Michael, you not only talk the talk but walk it…..
Way to go Michelle and Connie!
Local Tampa community activists Michelle Williams and Connie Burton served meals to poor communities yesterday, kudos to them! Last year’s candidate for House Representative, Diane Hart, was also there serving as was Orlando Gudes who ran for a Tampa city council seat. Michelle will be out again today at 5 to serve.
Way to go Alexander Snitker and Danielle Alexandre!
Danielle Alexandre posted a short while ago the following, “We went on some rescue missions today to make sure people were safe and bring supplies to those in need. We are ready to do more but we can’t help if we don’t know what you need. I can’t promise that we can always come through but you have a place that is ready to give you a hot meal, shower, rest in AC and do some laundry here in Spring Hill. If that’s not what you need, let me know what is (and don’t say electricity) and we can see what we can do. It’s time to take care of each other and heal.” Danielle made sure today that the people they were serving in their home had a full belly served with love. Way to go you guys!
Finally, Thank you God for sparing us and moving the hearts of your children to serve those around us with needs, BECAUSE:
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:14-26
